Kovli
Support
Most problems with Kovli are one of a handful of things, and they are answered below. If yours is not here, write to us — a person reads every message.
Get in touch
kovli@midapps.appInclude your device and iOS or macOS version if you can. If the app is misbehaving, the in-app Report a Problem option is better than a plain email — it fills in the technical details for you, and you can see exactly what it will send before it goes.
Common questions
My boards are not syncing between devices
Kovli syncs through your own iCloud account, so sync problems are almost always an iCloud setting rather than the app itself. On each device, check:
- You are signed in to the same Apple Account.
- iCloud Drive is on, and Kovli is enabled in the iCloud app list.
- The device has a working network connection.
Changes propagate in the background and are not instant. If a device has been offline, give it a minute after it reconnects.
How do I share a board with someone?
Sharing uses Apple's own CloudKit sharing, so the people you invite need an Apple Account. You choose who is invited, and you can stop sharing at any time — which revokes their access to that board.
MidApps has no access to shared boards at any point.
My tasks are not showing up in Apple Calendar
Calendar sync needs permission, and it is only requested once. If you declined it, the app cannot ask again — you have to grant it in system settings:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → Apps → Kovli → Calendars
- Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars
Calendar data is read and written entirely on your device.
How do I cancel my subscription, or get a refund?
Both are handled by Apple, not by us — we never see your payment details and cannot issue refunds ourselves.
- Cancel: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
- Refund: reportaproblem.apple.com
Cancelling stops future renewals; the app keeps working until the current period ends.
I bought Kovli before — do I have to pay again on a new device?
No. Purchases and subscriptions are tied to your Apple Account, not to a device. Sign in with the same account and use Restore Purchases in the app's settings.
What exactly is in a bug report?
Only technical details: app version, OS version, device model, app language, your sync and calendar settings, and counts of your items — for example how many boards and tasks exist. It never includes the content of your tasks, notes or boards.
The report opens in your own mail app, so you can read and edit all of it before deciding whether to send it.
How do I delete everything?
Deleting the app removes its local data. To remove synced data as well, either delete your content in the app before removing it, or remove Kovli's data from iCloud: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage.
Privacy
Kovli collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, and your content stays on your devices and in your own iCloud account. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Feature requests
Welcome, at the same address. We will not promise a date, and we would rather say no than list something on a roadmap and quietly drop it.
