Kovli

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 August 2026

Kovli is published by MidApps ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the Kovli app on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac.

The short version

We do not collect your data. We have no servers, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Everything you create in Kovli stays on your devices and in your personal iCloud account.

Your content

Tasks, boards, notes and settings you create are stored locally on your device and — if iCloud is enabled — synced through Apple's CloudKit service using your personal iCloud account's private database. This data is accessible only to you and to Apple acting as your storage provider; we cannot read, access or recover it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's own privacy policy.

Shared boards

If you share a board with someone, that board's content becomes visible to the people you invite, through Apple's CloudKit sharing. You control who is invited and can stop sharing at any time. We still have no access to it.

Calendar access

If you allow calendar access, Kovli reads and writes events in Apple Calendar solely to keep your scheduled tasks in step with your calendar. This happens entirely on your device. Calendar data is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Purchases

Kovli offers a free trial and paid options (subscription or one-time purchase). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings; refunds are handled by Apple.

What we collect

Nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no tracking of any kind.

Bug reports

Kovli's "Report a Problem" feature prepares an email in your own mail app. The prefilled report contains only technical details: the app version, your operating system version and device model, the app's language, sync and calendar settings, and counts of your items (for example, how many boards and tasks you have). It never includes the content of your tasks, notes or boards. You can read and edit everything before deciding to send it — or not send it at all.

If you do send a report, we receive it as an ordinary email, including your email address. We use it solely to investigate the problem and reply to you, we never share it, and we delete the correspondence once the issue is resolved.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its local data. To remove synced data, delete Kovli's data from iCloud (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage) or delete your content in the app before removing it.

Children

Kovli is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights over your personal data. Since we do not collect any, there is nothing we hold to access, correct or delete — your data is under your direct control on your devices and in your iCloud account. Questions are welcome at the address below.

Changes

If a future version of Kovli ever changes how data is handled, we will update this policy and note it in the app's release notes before the change applies.
